Posted on March 24, 2009 at 1:02 am I know many people are in debt due to credit card but I feel credit card is really nice if you don't misuse it.   Just pay your bill on time monthly and fully then use the points earned to redeem for free voucher and gifts.  You also enjoy discount when stores are having purchase with credit card promotion.  You actually save money this way, by using credit card.Sign up during bank promotion period to waive off 1st year annual fees and you can call up to ask for waive off in subsequent years, most bank will do so if you have a good track record of utilizing the credit card in the past year, they'll see you as a good customer.  In the worst case just cancel it if the bank insist you to pay annual fees and you lost nothing.

Posted on March 24, 2009 at 9:42 pm For me, credit cards are out of the question, cause there's the temptation to treat it as free money .  Credit cards are not free money! It's a loan with high interest and dire consequences for non-payment. Instead, I focus on earning more money and waiting for the things that I want instead of buying them with borrowed money. Much more sensible for me.

Posted on April 3, 2009 at 6:56 am I think if anyone is going to get a credit card it should be a "secured" credit card, that way you are only borrowing against the money that you have available.  Those extra bonus points and prizes won't help much if you lose your job and can't make your credit card payment.

If only I could turn back time I will take care of my credit card because it can be very useful and helpful if you only know how to make it work for you.
