When I have a budget, I feel more in control of my life and direction. I don't feel as if my life is out of control. And, everything seems to fall into place. There are many health benefits to having a budget too. For one, there's less stress. When I'm using a budget, I always know where my money is going or should be going. It's something to rely on. I don't have to lay awake at night worrying about money cause I know that there's a plan in place for both expenses, savings and investments. And, a proper budget allocates money for repayment of debt, so I don't have to worry about that either. What's your main reason for using a budget? What are your best budget tips?

Moderation is always the smartest avenue. With moderation, you'll never get into debt. That might not appeal to risk takers who get a thrill from spending. Thanks for your comments. Much appreciated!

To stop me from spending and shopping on things I wont use much - I tend to spend much more than necessary and if not on a tight rein waste lots of money.xox Emma

My number 1 reason for a budget is for the peace of mind you speak of. Being unemployed it can get pretty stressful wondering how I am going to pay for everything. Having a budget lets me know how to allocate my funds so that I can get by until I find a job.

My number one reason for having a budget is to save money. I can keep track of all my exspenses and when I reach the budgeted amount, then I know I can't spend any more money in that area. My budget is going to help me become a better shopper, a better invester, all while creating more financial freedom.

It's never too late to make up a budget. Even if you are facing job loss or money crisis, you can get a better idea of your current financial commitments and see where your money is going every month instead of worrying. A budget is very empowering.

Right now my main reason is because of the economy. I'm also saving and learning how to stay on a budget so that when my fiance and I are actually serious in our budget planning we have something to go on, and some advantages because of the information I'm gathering now. Being on a budget can keep stress away and it's always great to know where your money is and what it's doing for you!
