A really great suggestion. Often, I keep a list on the back of the front door and that way the person coming back into the house can list the amount they have seen. And, since the list is so highly viewable, it's the first thing seen before leaving the house. It's real wakeup call to know that so much money was spent on the last trip out of the house. Helps alert everyone to the money situation.

I already have a notebook that I use for this. I even right how much I paid for the taxi, or if I bought an ice cream. And it really helps. Thanks for sharing.

beautyqueen, that is a great idea. Making it highly visible is much more of a wakeup call than having to remember to use a notebook!

This is actually a really good tip. I do track all of my expenses, and have tried writing them down daily, and usually in the evening but sometimes I forget and then have to scramble for all my receipts at the end of the month. I think I might start carrying a smaller notebook with me to keep track of my daily exspenses. Thanks.

I always have a mini notebook in my pocket which I write everything that I buy in. Then I always save the receipt. Everyone who haven't got a strong economy should do that.

Thanks for the idea Nathalie28. I haven't been doing that, but will start today. Since I don't write I'll store in my phone, and transfer that to my laptop.

I'm def going to have to start doing this. Because i agree with this. Alot of times, i never know where on earth my money is going and that blows. Because i could easily blow 100 dollars and not even realize it. Thanks for the tip! :)

I really like this idea! I can easily fit a little notebook into my purse to write down expenses. This will help me know when I do need to cut expenses where to cut it from. What unnecessary stuff I am purchasing that I may forget about.

I have been thinking about doing this, only using the memopad on my phone, saves 50 cents on the notebook, and saves a few trees!
