All right, we have to buy our essential products only. I also buy the products which are hard needed. But till now my little earning can't cover my budget, I have borrow some amount every month. How I can save?

See if there is a produce market near you, they sell their produce for about half the price of a supermarket. Also, shop for things on sale, instead of sticking to the same list each week. Last week, carrots were on sale for a dollar. This week they were two dollars, but celery was on sale for a dollar fifty, so I decided that we would munch on celery instead of carrots. Bananas are very cheap, and so delicious!Rice is very very cheap, and you can buy it in bulk for even cheaper. The same with dried beans. You should look into changing the things that you buy. And also, try not to food shop one week. Eat everything in your pantry. Drink water and tea. Procrastinate shopping as much as you can to use up all of the stuff that you have in your kitchen or pantry. You will be suprised how much you save in that one week!

For health reasons I replaced soda with juice, this can be a problem because juice is typically much more expensive than soda. I add water to juices, usually they are too sweet for me anyway, and this way I get more juice for my $. Also as far as fruit if you go to the grocery store when fruits are on sale (right before they go bad), you can get them for up to 90% off and make your own smoothies or freeze them until you are ready to use them. Here in Florida there are also places where you can pay a flat amount to go onto an orchard and pick your own fruit (you bring your own containers and you can take what you can carry). I am not sure how many places have options like this but it is a good alternative.I also make a list, if I am feeling like I want to make an impulse buy then I ask myself what on my list costs the same price that I can go without? This helps me spend the same amount of money, or more often helps me talk myself out of making the impulse purchase. If I have a little extra money I will put on my list "$5 item" for something I see but didn't plan to buy that I think I would like to spend my little extra on.ALSO, if you are someone that travels to the farmer's market, meat market, and grocery store, do it all one one trip to save on gas! Just make sure you visit them in an appropriate order so you don't have things like meat and dairy sitting in the car while you shop.

Impulse purchases are a big thing in my house. It's so easy to get side tracked and come home with an extra bag or two of food that noone really needs.

I find that when I make a list for groceries I always end up spending less!

Yes in order to save on grocery shopping, we can do several things Firstly make a list of everything you need, and do not purchase anything that is not on that list. Secondly only take a limited amount of cash to the supermarket with you so that you cannot spend a bundle on luxurious food products Thirdly buy cheaper brand items Finally limit your time in the supermarket, the less time you have the less likely you are to impulse buy.

Hey Katia! Thanks for that tip about the 'pick your own fruit' orchards.  We live pretty near some orchards.  I'm not sure if they have the same deal here, but I could check into it. Also, I plan to shop local farmer's markets to see if locally grown fruit is any cheaper than the local Winn Dixie. You always have the best ideas!

i think having a grocery list is a good thing...another suggestion is that, always eat first before going to the grocery...because i noticed, if i'm hungry and i'm out shopping for some groceries, i tend to buy a lot .... because i'm thinking of all the different kinds of food i can eat... :)

I eat before shopping and I also bring a sports bottle so that I don't have to buy bottled mineral water.

Yeah, making lists of what you really need can help in saving money in grocery shopping. Also, make sure that you only buy what you really need and refrain from buying junk foods, chocolates, and others that can be quite costly but unhealthy. Just a suggestion though.
