This is exactly the same experience I had. Now I use it alot online and never fear about fraud. I first used it to buy a plane ticket.

I often think the internet is safer than actually going to the store and purchasing products. When you apply for a job, you have to include your social security number as well as your birthdate. How safe is your information? Anyone could get access to your your personal information and use it against you. If they have access to this information, they pretty much have access to all of your accounts.

Always best to deal with a merchant that you trust. If you would feel comfortable giving that merchant your credit card number offline at a regular store then it's probably safe to do so online.

One has to be careful while using the credit card and never reveal the last 3 digits at the back of the card and the card details to anyone. One should also make sure that the site is secure while using it online.
