Cosigner?

Hello everyone,My ex fiance had taken out a school loan with me as a cosigner. She stopped paying the bill and now i am being harassed by the company. They sent me one letter saying that i would need to contact them or pay the full amount. Now for the past few months they call, leave a message but don't tell me who they are. i know its them because they use her name and mine. it is the only account that still has her name on it. Now the interesting part: i called them. they had her phone number under my name. i asked if i was definitely a cosigner. they asked me on witch lone? they said i was the cosigner of  her third delinquent account. i asked them if they could mail me the terms and conditions. they refused and said i could access them with the account number on there web site. i could not because my ex already created an account with that account number. so i go to the bank to get my credit report. on your credit report there are three different letters (that i know of) that indicate your responsibility on a certain account: i = individual, c=cosigner, and s. the bank tells me that s=unsure and that was the label on the student loan. now i know i am rediculous because i cant remember if i signed for it. she had me signing all kinds of stuff and me being naive and trusting i didn't pay attention. i did have knowledge of my countersignature but am i still going to be responsible for repaying the loan if i didn't sign? if i did sign what will happen if i dont pay? please help!p.s. i dont need lectures. i get enough from my motter. just advice please. :)

If you did in fact co-sign then you are liable if she does not pay.  It will affect your credit as well.  I think it will just go on your credit as not paying. That is not good either. If  you did not co-sign then they can't do anything to you. I wonder why they won't send you the information on the loan.  Seems fishy to me.
