I must have a ton of these.  I only use 3 of them.  I get deals and coupons every month and it just seems to save me money.I have :Fashion BugAmerican EagleKohl's...I have had the Fashion Bug card since I was right out of high school- It has been 15 years or so.  I love it because you get coupons for every $100 you spend $10 off...  I use it every time I shop and then pay it off in full each month.I'm just wondering if people buy into these store cards?  Will you sign up when in the checkout line- You can save an additional 10% today if you sign up.  I don't always-- unless it's a store I shop at often- like the 3 I have.

These cards are no different than your standard credit card. If you use them wisely, i.e. pay off the balance by the due date, and don't go crazy charging all kinds of stuff, you should do well. I have two I use on a regular basis and love the idea I can push the payment for the goods into next month. That means I am walking around with spendable cash. Again, it is spendable on must have items and not foo-foo junk. If no must items are on ny spending radar, the cash is used to pay the balance on the cards. It works like a charm, at least for me.

It works well for me as well. As I love the coupons you get from using them.  I usually only use them when I know I'm racking up points for the next month.  I only charge what I know I can pay.

My friends had suggested me to collect them. So from then i had just collected 5. But its quite interesting to have a collection like that.

I think they are well worth it, if you shop there enough.  Just make sure that you don't use your new found 'spending power' to get yourself into trouble! How could getting $10 back for every $100 you spend be a bad thing?

I love how some stores HAVE to ask you  if you want to sign up for their credit card. I once bought something for like a dollar, and they asked me if I wated to save 10% by opening up a CC - I just had to laugh!!
