Disabled senior collection protection law?

I'm a disabled senior age 64, receiving social security disability plus a company disability check (for six more months). I have had to default on most of my credit cards (visa & gas). Is there any law in Texas to protect me? I don't own house or land. I live in a 27' travel trailer, and own a truck to move it when needed. I don't know what to do next so the creditors don't attach my checks or try and take what little I own? I appreciate any help... Thanks

A collection agency has to have a court ordered garnishment in order for them to touch your income and even with that, you can not fall below the poverty guidelines.  I don't think they can touch your SSI checks either.
