Reading Online

For what it is worth, here is a method I employed and saved over $40 a week for 6 months. For the year so far, I have bought no books  at the bookstore. I opted to do all my leisure reading online. As an avid reader, I was spending $40-$50 a week. Now, I have completely cut that expense out!

Reading online is fine, unless it costs you too much money to go online. My husband and I have found the local library is the answer to reading a huge variety of books. As long as we return our books on time, it's plenty of free reading for us. We borrow a heap of books for a month and work our way through the pile.

I doesn't matter if we decide not to read a book, there's no money wasted, we just go on to the next book. I've read some great books and discovered some fantastic writers like this. Our son gets into it too, and we take my little shopping trolley to the library with us, saving on tired arms and dropped books.

There's something about holding a book in your hands that the computer screen can't compare with. I just love books!

Thats one of those expensese that you see room to cut. I think like most coffee drinkers can find room to save a little money themselves honestly. Alot of the things we do on a daily basis cost us more money than we think.

The sad thing is -is that I would rather be in debt then have to give up my coffee. I know that is horrible but I'm addicted.

Reading online while drinking coffee can earn you money! With all the knowledge you acquired online, you can just simply turn everything around by writing articles to online paid sites such as Associated Content, Helium or Triond.

Reading online is certainly a way of reducing spending on books. Another one is visiting charity shops. I have purchased top quality recently published novels and hardcover books for 50cents. It is also possible to buy magazines for 10 cents. Once you have finished reading you can return the books for someone else to read. It is amazing the depth of reading available in some shops.

I love charity shops. I buy my jeans in them and they're always comfortable and worn in already, none of that stiff brand new uncomfortable stuff. With my other clothes, I just go into the charity shop and look for clothes in 'my colours'. Once I realised I was an Autumn (Fall) person, I haven't bought a single thing that doesn't look good on me.

When I'm in Autumn colours, I look good, feel good. I wused to wear hot pink as a teenager - with my colouring a huge mistake. A huge waste of money too. I advise everyone who isn't happy with theri clothes to do a test to see what colour palette they should be following. It is truly worth it.

willyable is right. There are lot o f things we do on a daily basis that we could save money on. By all means read online or go to the library. It is cheaper. You're paying for cost of being online when you read online. Your carbon foorprint is even less when you go tothe library(that's saying you don't drive too far to get there.  Make your own flavored coffee. You're paying for the brand name and the atmosphere when you buy from a coffee   I buy maybe one a month now. I only buy clothes on sale but only if the suit me. Think before you shell you you're cash. Think harder if you're using a credit card.  There's a big difference between want and need. Find out what that means for you.

I agree very much about the difference between want and need. In australia at the moment there's a huge buzz about the Iphone. I'm not even sure what they do that's so wonderful, but other people do, I suppose. It's the latest 'Must Have' item - people lining up waiting for the shop to open, columns of newspaper space given to it.

I have a computer, a cell phone and a home landline - I don't need an Iphone! I also don't wnat one - I'm wary when the advertisers start telling me I must have something - they mean they want me to but another useless piece to clutter up my life.

Want and need are cetainly not the same thing - I need to eat to stay alive, I want to eat chocolate every day. I eat sandwiches instead, and only have chocolate when I really, really need chocolate. I want it far more often that I need it! It's good to know the difference - good for my health, my weight, my pocket!
