It is definitely worth it to check and see if there is a food co-op in your area. I started using one four months ago and for one monthly fee I am able to shop for the entire month. Our grocery bill has been cut by a fourth and we have fresh fruits and vegetables and dairy products all the time. We really do eat a lot better and the food is better than what I was buying before to save money.

I'm going to have to look into this. We spend over $600 a month on groceries-granted some goes on baby formula which is expensive and diapers but the rest on food. It would be a great way to help out the ol budget.

Can you explain what this is? How much is the fee? Sounds like a plan to me- If you only pay a monthly fee and shop all you want- Is there a limit of what you can take each month?

It is really a nice idea. The bills can be cut in half or more and we can save a lot of dollars through it.It also helps the stores in retaining the customers.

We have one of those coops just up the road. And, we haven't used it yet. Mostly cause it's about twenty miles away. But they buy the food and veggies and such and then portion them into packages and the consumer purchases the package for reduced costs. It's very convenient and money saving.
