Hi I read this on the internet once, I tried it and now im almost debt free! Live With Your Parents / Relatives (It helps you get back on track with money!)Give up Drinking / Coffee (Its suprising how much you can spend on drinking out!)4. Cook For Yourself. Cycle to Work (or walk, or run!) Tear up your Credit Cards.Take a Holiday in your Back Garden (OK not litereally, but why go abroad when there are plenty of places here to visit!) Sell Your Car.(you'll make money from the sale, save on tax and ofcourse gas!) Mend Your Clothes (A button missing, a small patch? just fix it!) Honestly, I know it seems simple but these few steps can really help!!

It works on paper but I don't think it is practical. Are you seeing people selling off cars with the never ending rise in gas? Tear off my credit card? No way,I will be in lots of trouble if I don't have one. Imagine the convenient of not necessary to bring a lot of cash during your shopping spree. We just have to seek an optimum balance in convenience and possible debt causing tools. In the end, I shall say it all depends on our attitude and habit.

I agree that a credit card can be extremely useful in a number of situations especially when purchasing online. The key issue is to set yourself a limit of the spend on a credit card in a month and pay it off at the end of the month incurring not interest charges and build no debt. It's about planning and self control.

i know the suggestions are genralised, i would like to tell you what would happen if i follow them. i wish your suggestions were so easy to follow especially for me.1. cant live with my parent, either they will go crazy or i will go nuts! i dont drink coffee or tea, i cook myself.2. if start cycling to go to work place, either i will evaporate (office is 21kms an for using public transport i have to change three modes) or my boss will kick me out3. if i tear my CC or fo to vacations at my back yard, i wont be writing next post here (my wife will shoot me)4. yes selling car would save a lot of money for me, but still the problem is mentioned at no.25. mend my own clothes, yesss i can do this!vik
