How offen do you eat out? I hardly ever eat out, even when i do have the money. I can find better ways to spend my money than to eat out.

What about you?

I don't eat out. I simply can't afford it.

What I did instead was search the net for recipes of food I really used to enjoy ordering when I went out and I learned to cook them at home instead

There are many meals that are actually cheaper to eat out then to eat at home. I can't make a pizza at home for 5.00 or even 7.00 as one example.

I eat out occasionally but have now learned to eat at home more often. It saves money and I could use the money saved towards other things that I may need or want. It does have it pleasures to eat out but the best way is to just be able to learn to cook. And also it does cost a little more to make a pizza at home, but only because the products don't come in single packages but for a larger amount, if you are refering to making it from scratch. But if you are talking about oven pizza, there is pizza's that are around three dollars or less that will fill you up.

We eat out fairly often, and I’ve also learned to cook some of the things we typically order, to have them at home.

In past years when I was traveling, I’ve also eaten in my motel room using a kettle to boil water to make macaroni and tuna etc, to save money at that time.

My family and I only eat out during the weekends. I hope we still can afford the weekends meals outside the house as everythings ranging from food to gasoline are getting very expensive nowadays.

I know that eating out does cost a lot of money but I don't want to deprive my family of  the pleasure of eating out during the weekend. Sometimes we have to justify money and pleasure as we only live our life once.

Personally I don't eat out anymore because of high gas prices. I Think that there isnt any room for eating out. I Don't have any problems with spending money on food but who has the gas to travel across town just to eat and go home.

We used to eat out quite a bit but in May we decided to try and not eat out at all.  We looked at how much we'd spent on food in April and were shocked.  Other than two birthday lunches we did it.  Now that the eating out habit is broken it's not hard at all to stay in.
