This has not happened ( yet)...........The inevitable has happened. I have been served by my creditors / collector and directed to appear in court.Clearly, I can show in plain black and white that my ability to not even pay my monthly bills much less my credit debt is problematic. I can also show several contributing factors to my current problem. What should I expect in court ? Do the courts even care about external circumstances when considering your case ? Would it be better just to declare bankruptcy if this comes up in the near future ( I more than qualify)? I really would prefer to maintain control of my finances and fix this problem on my own however, creditors / collectors seem to work in direct opposition to this idea. They want it all and they want it now.................which is the only motivation I would have for bankruptcy.......the ringing phone, letters and uncertainty of what will happen next is enough to drive anyone crazy and is ultimately not effective if you over stress someone to the point where they can't function or make decisions you likely will never get paid.
