I'm working on a set of features for the site to help members track their debt and finances and provide advice on the best route for getting out of debt.
The first tool I've added is a debt payoff calculator. You enter your debts, approximate balances and interest rates and it will show you when you'll be out of debt by making minimum payments as well as a couple of popular techniques for paying off debt faster. It'll also show you the total cost of that debt along with some pretty charts displaying your progress.
You will notice a new link for Financial Planner in your control panel now. Just click that link to begin using this tool. I plan on adding several more tools to this financial planner in the near future, but am very interested to hear any feedback on this first one. Is there anything you don't like about it? Any addition info you would like to see calculated based on the data provided?
I think this post got burried by a flood of others that came in shortly afterwards. I would still very much so love to hear what you think of this tool. I plan on expanding it soon, but would like to get this first component perfected first.
