Forget the economy - get your life back under control
anne_20002002
- good blog
- Woww...what else can I say? I read EVERY single word of it and was magnetized. I felt like I could do everything you said there. Yes, we gave up the car which we were paying monthly and which became a burden to us. But honestly, we still secretly long for the time we had it. We had convenience and security. We were able to move about freely. But I further learned from here that a car is a liability since it does not bring in any income but rather only adds to the budget. And in your post again, having a car is not listed as something that matters in our lives. I'd love to reread this post again in order to absorb the enthusiasm you have so well exhibited there. Thank you.

- I really like your hints! Thanks for enlightening me. I believe that what we think is what we get.

- It is never too late, prizee11111 - never, never, never. You have just made a life-changing public statement - "I am a slave of the god money." And from the tone of your post, and your statement that you are lost, I'm feeling that you are not happy about it! Awareness of the problem is always the first step, because until you can recognise and admit that you have a problem, then your belief is that you are right and everyone else is wrong. Get hold of some personal development books, CDs or courses and start yourself on the path to change. Don't get me wrong, money is very nice to have. But there is infinitely more depth to you and to life than money. Look for those answers within yourself, and good luck to you.
- maybe is too late for me..i am a slave of the god money..all my life turn arround money..there is no life without money..i know i am already lost..i don t know other hapiness that having money..i am lost..

(Guest) - There is little point in worrying about things you cannot change and the economy is one thing we have no control over. So lets all stop worrying about the things we have no control over and start looking after those things we can make a real difference. Start sorting our problems out a bit at a time, with a clear and level head.

- This was a really great post. It's easy to lose sight of what's important when the media and everyone around us are predicting "even worse" times ahead - but you are so right in pointing out that possessions and money aren't even that important in the big scheme of things. (I would say they're not important at all, except we all need to be earning enough to live on, but at least we know money doesn't have to determine our happiness!)

- "under control" was a great way to title your post! I am amazed at how quick I managed to spiral out of control on my spending habit. Thanks for pointing out what should have been obvious all along! Things will be okay. Instead of worrying about the economy, worry about things under my control. 'Me'.

- I have to agree with you, I try not to worry about the Economy, what really matters is taking care of your business and making things work. You have to work with your spouse of significant other and get your money and debt inline.

- Isn't it sad when you have to point out that people survive times like these? Good point on the top four things that are important to you!
