Carolyn - I'm sure some would call you a bad mother for this. I call it being a good mother. We have to let our children experience the consequences of their actions, so they will truly learn the lessons they need to learn. I have a aunt who is still funding her fifty year old son. He has always gone to his parents for finacial assistance and still does it, even though my aunt and uncle are retired and finding life more of a financial struggle themselves.

My mother gives me mother when I visit her, even though I haven't asked for it. When I told her she didn't have to do it, she said her mother did the same for her. Do I refuse the money? Of course not, my mother taught me better that that!
