- Great advice ,i will take it .
beautyqueen26 - I posted a blog entry about ways to cut your entertainment expenses and still have fun.  There's no need to purchase DVDs or even books when they can be obtained from the local library.  You can watch free movies online or listen to music free.

Why are people still spending money when they are supposedly trying to cut debt?

- I m agree with u...
- good info .thanks a lot for explaining clearly.
buggles - I don't think the purpose of the debt snowball is to restrict buying items for pleasure, it is merely a tool for "scaling back"  Maybe instead of purchasing $25.00 worth of CD's, DVD's, only buy $5 worth at  retail and discount shops.  This is where the budget comes in.  You have to budget for these products, and then when you have reached that limit, no more until the next month rolls around.  Any extra savings gets thrown at debt. Thus creating the snowball method.  Though, I do agree there is a minor flaw with this method, I believe we should pay "high interest" debts first.
