- The finance planning expert says that the ideal proportion of paying off debt is 30% of your income. The fact is you use 90% of your money to pay off debts. I really understand the difficulties you've been through.

- half is enough. Don't let you under stress. Even you take all debt back, you will lose much time to do yourself. and you can't live happily in a long time.
why you live in the world? enjoy it.

- I understand where you are coming from...feeling guilty about spending money on items that don't really matter. I don't spend money on frivilous things myself. We don't spend money to "have fun." I haven't paid to go to the movies in several years, and the other day, we decided not to "rent" a $1 movie from family video and instead watched a vhs tape that we have at home. I don't buy a daily coffee. I use my mom's internet connection (though I would prefer to use my own pc). The one thing I do buy is a Dr. Pepper. If I total it, it's about $20.00 a month. I should stop drinking diet soda, and drink water instead and throw that money at some of my debt.

(Guest) - Maybe it would help if you viewed what you spent as an investment in something. E.g. buy a quality pair of walking or jogging shoes and invest in your health. Get a birdbath or feeder and invest in supporting wildlife in your neighborhood. Buy a small gift for someone who doesn't expect it -- you'll both feel good. Don't waste your precious non-renewable life energy feeling guilty.
- Chum,
Is your link to http://helpmepayoffmydebt.com operating properly? I tried it today, and it didn't seem to work- opened up a new window, but just kept 'loading' without completing.
- i know what your saying at times i feel guilty buying necessities. I need a new pack of disposable contacts (40.00) im to throw a pair away weekly (40.00 is a months worth) and i have been wearing my last pair for about 8 months now. I also feel guilty purchasing make-up or lotion.
