sameer (Guest) - I am signing in this blog post in its fullness. I had experiences in the past applying for ASP NET position where I was refused because I had a small flaw in my own implementation of C itoa function (converting between number systems without any help functions)

I was really sad about it, but then after a while I have realized that if they treat candidates "as numbers" and not as people and give generic questions regardless of what you apply for, than they would probably treat me  as a number once I would start to work for them.

Life is to short for being a number :)

laydee - Yeah, though we'd all like to have partime jobs and possibly earning online, it isn't that easy.  Yes there are many who claim to have earned online but it's mostly pennies, no one really made it big here online (unless they're doing something illegal). 

Getting a partime job is next to impossible specially now that we're all in crisis and people are losing their jobs.

I think the key here is to try to be creative in terms of what you can do to eliminate more debt.  Living paycheck to paycheck is a hard thing to be in, but until we can develop some sort of a system for our funds, we won't be able to leave the ratrace soon.

Debbie - Maybe it depends on where you live.  Here, most people work 7:30am to 3:30pm, 8 to 4pm or 9 to 5pm at their full time job.  So you could easily work from 4, 5 or 6pm to 10 or midnight after work, and then again on weekends.  Retailers are often open until 9 or 10.  Walmart and grocery stores have 24 hour stores.  It's tiring, but definitely possible to work a part time job around a full time job - and easier to do if you know it is only temporary until you pay off your debt.

As for being a student, I would think you would have an even easier task of getting these part time jobs around your class schedule.

I definitely agree working online is the better way to go - but I don't think it's a possibility for everyone.  Thanks for your comments.

I am currently working in a call center right now but because of debt, I practically had to take another 4 hours of freelance work just to ease our expenses and loosen some grip on our budget.  It's kind of awkward though, because the salary I could earned could have gone straight to our bank instead of putting it straight to debt payment.

WoolF - you can get a part-time job if have the time..but given the working hrs of the average citizen, not all of us can do that, an internet job is a better solution(writing or posting) and it could give you even 300-400$/month!

Until I can get myself established as a writer, I will be earning money in various ways, and even plan on doing some recycling once again this summer.
