belleph - I learned a lot of things in your article. Thank you for sharing those. Actually, the television is ON and glance at a moment, now it's better to turn it off.
- Great ideas.  You can also work out an ex-deal with someone or a company for a service that you want in exchange for a service that you can give them too.  Like I have a friend who is into the print business.  I had some posters and flyers made in exchange for ad space on TV.
sikat - Nice list. If I may add, use coupons for groceries.

kindcaty - thank you for the tip. I for one does drink softdrinks several times a day and I was really surprised one time when I sum all my expenses, the biggest expense went to softdrinks. I'm really thinking of how to stop my addiction to softdrinks to be able to save and at the same time be healthy.
- great tips! we can find so many things to save from if only we focus our attention
to being frugal.
aliaslucs - thank you for this great tip.
- Thanks!Saving money is for future use. I try my best to save it. Don't get drunk, Don't go out very often, don't set up the party are some ideas to save money.
LauraT2009 - Good tips here, and I like the one about swapping alcohol and soft drinks for water. I normally drink water when I go out for a meal as food is expensive enough
- Nice tips ::reads through them again carefully...:: True...especially about the cable and dryer...they take up a LOT of money that can be saved...great post.
- very helpful trick once before, hopefully useful
happyluckylady - These are all great things to do to save money. But I would like to add a few more. Instead of using the dishwasher why not wash your dishes by hand? Also if you turn on a light when you go into a room when your done and you leave the room shut off the light. And when your brushing your teeth don't let the water run. If you live in the city there are grocery stores that will give you a discount card this card will help you save a few cents if you present the card at the check out stand.
Belena - These are things that anyone can do to save money and I think everyone should consider them. Money is too easily wasted if you don't think about how you spend it and what you spend it on.
sona - Rightly wrote. To less the debt burden we have to follow some rules as you mentioned. The rules are not only applicable to reduce debt but also necessary for savings and to protect our future and emergency.
- These are definitely some very valid tips. I'm going to implement #5 once the weather gets warm enough. Then I'll only use the clothes dryer when I'm drying unclothing. Those won't take very long. Although, I might dry our towels the same way.
rebelmel - Great article! I posted a very similar one, that you might want to check out!

http://www.destroydebt.com/blogs/rebelmel/1497-can-you-save-1000-in-bills-i-can-heres-how.html

Now if I can only figure out how to earn enough from home....

- What I can say is, always be practical in dealing with your debt problems.

rebelmel - These are some great tips! I really appreciate the article you have written. I, myself have been trying to come up with some ways to save each month, as well as earn a bit more each month. It's not easy! Thank you for your suggestions! Asking for water at restaurants is something I always do! The cokes are so much money, and half the time they don't taste too good!
aliaslucs - wow, great article, thank you for your advice.
- Thanks for your advice .
- Very good ideas specially that channel reducing idead these all will help to destroy the debts
sweetseoul - The only thing applicable to me here is your advise about skipping the sodas -- that's really a hard thing for me to do. I'm a coke addict!!! But you're right, it's a money-saver if I shun away from sodas for awhile.

With regards to expensive dog foods...my dog is really picky when it comes to food. She doesn't eat all if I change her food...so I don't have any choice but to stick with the expensive one.
sophie_dfuss - Another great article! I really like reading your articles Debbie!
bedarmy - 100% i'm agree with u... thanks 4 informatif article

- Car pooling is a very effective way to save money. With the high cost of gasoline nowadays, a one way savings for gasoline means a lot. Thanks for that advice.
aida0205 - wonderful tips and i like it.. thanx for the information and its very useful for me..
MVVSPR - A great deal of ideas. The techniques were excellent.Nice information indeed very useful too.
jayguar - Great information for one to follow. In the case of pet food, I cannot opt for cheaper food as my dogs have been brought up with the food they eat now and they just don't like any other food. Except this, I find the remaining points really useful.
beautyqueen26 - I really like that $1.00 store idea. I used to shop there all the time. You can get Christmas paper and gift bags for next to nothing. There are even brand new kids books and novels for just $1.00 Can't beat that!

One more tip that I'd like to add to your collection.

Instead of buying expensive Nintendo or WII games, get your kids to play free online games. They're free and lots of fun. In fact the entire family can play. Hours of fun in my house.

We save so much money.

I posted a list of child birthday freebies on my blog that I hope will help out.

Thanks for your article. Very nice!
chantalgiardina - that is a wonderful list ...some of it i already do but  some of it i have never thought of before
- lots of great ideas i like it
beautyqueen26 - Since subscribing to basic cable my kid watches way more TV than she should.  Doing without that extra ten dollars expense monthly would save me a big headache!
citrusemma - Very good idea! It's true I sometimes am tempted to spend more on my puppies, because I don't want them to have to eat "bad tasting" food. However, it probably doesn't make a huge difference to them - but it does make a very big difference to my budget!
- Great tips...thanks for sharing.  I never buy name brands.  I buy alot of cleaning products at the dollar store.  When I say dollar store, I mean the stores where EVERYTHING in the store only costs $1.00.  You would be amazed at the name brands they have their for only one buck!  Cleaning supplies are so expensive to begin with, well I never spend more than $1 for each one.
rosiej - Lot of great ideas, thanks for sharing..
- I already use alot of these but especailly now the summer is coming I can afford to use the dryer less! Saving more money! I love comparasson shopping also a great tip!
Look foward to more great advice
Nikki x
- These tips are great
- These are very helpful tips. I am impressed by using less expensive brands. It holds true for pets, and also for human. For quite some time, we were misled to abuse of luxuary of expensive brands. It became the torture for people who were not fiancially prepared, trapped in the dilema. It is much more healthy to live a light, and meaningful life, suitable to one's personality and status. Fashion leaders should be examples of a green and simple life, with intelligence and wisdom to make contributions to the society.
elasolova - Wow, you have so many tips out there. I hope they will be helpful.
buggles - These are really great tips!  Thanks for sharing them.  That's one thing i have to remember...apply any savings to my debt snowball.
- great tips! i myself use alot of these things already.  another that i use (all the vets in the world will be screaming at this one)  food that is not enough for us to save for later goes to our dog.  He is by no means overweight.  He is very healthy but that saves a night or so on the dog food.
