niitesh - Luckily i have always managed to pay off my debts on time and thus have not have to face the situation so far.
- I have a few accounts that have been charged off.  I used to get harassment call after harassment call from these people.  I have been able to make arrangements with one of them for less than what I owe, however, the other company isn't budging yet!

Cfrance - I actually have a credit card in charge off status.I have been argueing with them for some time over an issue and they did that to me. And I was trying to find out what to do thank you so much for writing this.
