I don't think I saw her on Oprah though. Thanks for sharing.
buggles - Rarity, If your pedicures and manicures are truly a "treat" for you, maybe you could cut out expenses somewhere else.  These tips are for coping through the recession.

BeautyQueen, ...I am happy that I came across this information when I did.  I was totally into getting all my debt paid off, but after hearing her statement about just making the minimum payments, I had to agree.  Because what if tomorrow comes and there is no source of income?  We definitely want something to live off from if that was the case.
- I have listened once to this professional financial adviser on Oprah and she does give very good money management advice.  But I am not totally in favor of giving up my manicure and pedicure just yet because that's one of my sources of happiness.
beautyqueen26 - Wish I'd known about tip number 2 back in the day when I was using credit cards. I ended up with lots of money on my credit cards and then tried to snowball my debt by paying off one and then rolling the payment into another one to pay that off sooner.  Unfortunately, we had job loss shortly thereafter, when I could have really used the three hundred dollars that I used to pay off the small debt.  Lesson learned! Thanks for this great advice.
