- Oh really nice Ideas, Home made clay will be fun, besides it will be not harmful as it would be made from Dough and even the colours will be food colours so not too worry to much even if kids swallow it in mischief! Moreover it's a very nice suggestion to make toys and stuff insted of spending money on costly toys in this period of global economic meltdown. Start saving for your home first ,then one will automatically start thinking for his country's economy! What a brillinat idea!
shinkai03
- I'd better try this for the kids, nice work! Thanks.

- JaJohn, the kids here like playing outside as well. My kids enjoy running and chasing each other around the house :-)...it's to dangerous to play in the streets, though as a child, my brother and I were known to go ice skating in the middle of the road. We don't have any computer games, not that I would buy them for the kids anyway.
- Nice one, but i don't think that kids here will enjoy doing those kinds of games, they are fond of computer games nowadays and the cheapest thing that we can offer them is play on the street with their friends and those games would be our countries traditional games, no need to spend anything on toys.

- I have a preschooler at home who loves play dough. Thanks for the tips, not only will it be cost-effective, it is also an interesting project to do with your kids.
- I didnt know you could make play dough with food supplies. I never really tried it. I should try it for my little brothers. They would be really happy making it instead of having to go to the store to buy some. It is a great activity to do with young kids.

- I used to make playdough all the time when I was younger! My mother was young when she had me and my dad had been laid off, so we didn't have a whole lot of money. I thought it was so fun to make our own play dough! ruining it by mixing colors wasnt too big of an issue either, because we could just make more!
With the bakers clay, how well does it set? Would I be able to make an ashtray or something like that? If it gets wet will that ruin it? I am very interested to use it myself!
rofizarkasih
- Thanks for the ideas. You are a creative mom. Unfortunately I have no child yet. I agree with you, to save money we must be a creative person.
