Cfrance - I did a little looking around today and some ask higher fees that hardly make it worth it unless you have high debt. Some where very resonable.

I was considering debt settlement but it really scares me that not all my credit cars will settle and I am not currently behind on any of my bills and would hate to do so and end up no better and even worse than I already was. HelpMePayOffMyDebt - What I've seen with just a couple of the companies I looked at for debt consolidation is that they had pre-payment penalties, so even though they reduced your APR, they kept you under their contract for much longer. That means, you pay more in the long run!
