A debt management solution provides a debt management counselor who takes care of all information about present debts, financial records and applicable strategies. There are two major tools to reduce debts and eventually eliminate it. One is free grants offered by various institutions and the government and other is debt consolidation loans.

  • Forced into bankruptcy (Guest) - I received a letter in July from them on an old capital one account.  I tried to set up a payment plan through a credit counseling agency and they returned every payment, refusing to accept anything less than the entire balance.  Then in September, I received a letter from an entirely different company saying they owned the Capital One account.  I repeatedly tried to find out if Javitch or this new company owned the account and who I should communicate with and arrange payment with.  Javitch refused to answer my inquires (I made over 10) and now they filed a motion to garnish my wages.  I am now filing bankruptcy.  They are aggressive, if you receive communication that they own an account, don't bother working with them.  Go straight to a bankruptcy attorney and file bankruptcy.  Javitch would rather you declare bankruptcy than work out a payment arrangement.
CDI Collection agency (Guest) - We have been doing collection for almost 15 years and offer much better rates and hirer collection rates than most law offices. Keep in mind most Law offices do not have a high enough volume to report to credit bureaus so while you may have legal action with a debtor they can still go out and get car, home, and credit card loans.
