sandalwood - Evidently Jack.co isn't aware of the law. He implies he can tell you that you will be arrested if you don't pay his demands. Not so. No debt collector can threaten you with arrest, court action or anything else unless it is already in the hopper.

Arrest isn't one of the factors in the hopper at any time since, at least of this writing, you can't be arrested for not paying your bills. Nor can you be arrested for asking for debt validation or protesting any of what a debt collector says you allegedly owe.

This is the type of debt collector that gives the few honest ones a bad name. It appears his company should consider a before every shift briefing on the actual law before they put their people on the phone.

If this guy calls you, get his name and company and sue the S*** out of them.

Jack.co - I really don't know what are you talking about !! I m a licensed bill collectors and who said that saying that you will be arrested and prosecuted for not paying your bill is falsifying the statement..

The reality is that what a debt collector says depends on the nature of the debt. In case of charge off  Debts we cannot say that you will be arrested for not paying your bill but in case of active accounts under the statue of limitation they can say that you will be prosecuted for that and in reality the original creditor can also file a lawsuit against you !!
