I think paying your bills online is very convenient. I find it easy to trust the bank to take care of the bills I have to pay. I have been practicing online payments since 2000. But you have really have to trust your depository bank. Trust must be established first before you can ensure that there wont be hassles whenever you pay your bills. First, you must be a long-time depositor of a particular bank and there has been no incident that you've lost your money in that bank. Make sure that you know the credibility of that bank and how they handle their customers.
There are banks who charged nothing for using their online facilities such as bills payment online. They will also inform you via email about your transaction and even thru text message confirmation. One thing I find cool about online payments through my bank, they reward you with points (just small) whenever you make payment transactions. It will also make you pay your bills ahead of time because it requires days for the processing of payments. It's okay because sometimes if you pay your bills ahead of time you also earn good credit review. Anyways, you have to weigh first if paying your bills online is really what you want.
