Ideas for cheap gifts to give the wedding party

Saving Money On Themed Weddings - Posted: 4/2/2009
My fiance and I aren't handing out gifts to our wedding party although I know that some people do that. Our wedding is themed, but that isn't the reason we're not giving away gifts, we're not giving away gifts because it will end up costing us more. We also don't plan to make anything for the girls, but nonetheless I've compiled a list for you on things you can make or do to save money on  gifts for your wedding party.

1. Shrink A Dinks. I don't know that these are very popular now, but none the less you can find these shrink plastics at the craft store,  and while your at it pick up a whole puncher if you don't already have one, a little jewelry wire as well. color, cut and shape a design for earrings for the girls, or maybe little charms for a bracelet to give them. A magnet would also be nice, something to remind them of your and your fiance's wedding.

2. Can you crochet, knit or sew? Use your talent to make a few things that your bridesmaids will enjoy, a new scarf, a nice little set of hand warmers, or even just a cute little bracelet. If your going to sew, maybe a shirt, dress, skirt, or hand bag!

3. Do you know someone who likes to work puzzles? Then search around for photo puzzles http://www.jigsaw2order.com/  I'm not sure of the prices on that site, but price compare!

4. Do your groomsmen like to play video games? Do they have an older game system but a lack of fun games? Buy them a few games for cheap at game stop! While you're at it trade in some of your old games and get a store credit towards your purchases. Even a gift card would work, a guide to the game.

5. Do your groomsmen like to play a sport? I know that atleast golf balls can be customized, and I believe tees can as well, research to see just what you can get customized, or how you can do it yourself!

6. Cheesy shirts. No I don't mean shirts with cheese on them, I mean cheap shirts you can find at goodwill or the clearance rack at wal*mart. Go online and find iron on transfer patterns or make your own! This can be a shirt for either / or side.

7.  Get cardstock and write a letter to the bridesmaids. I'm not quite sure if the guys would like this as a gift but it's a great idea for the girls (bridesmaids and maid of honor) in your wedding.

Well I hope these tips helped
