My hobbies that help me stay out of debt
I used to love shopping but with my budget i just can't do it as often as I'd like to. i love wire jewerly making and cardmaking but i'm not that great at it and the materials are somewhat expensive. (unless you look in the right places). I've learned to love the thrill of a bargain hunt when i do really need to buy something. For instance, i love paper denim jeans but they are at least $120 brand new a upscale departments stores. I don't have the money for that! BUT i found a pair at a Ross store for $20 which is good for any pair of jeans. Or used ones on ebay for only $10. (i love ebay.) I also was in need of a maternity bathing suit but just could see payin $30 or more for a brand new swimsuit i knew i'd only wear for a month or 2. Again Ebay...$10 and that was shipping and everything.
More importantly i've really gotten into making money online. Now i haven't found that site that i can quit my day job and let the computer bring it in for me but i have been able to make a few extra dollars for those $10 paper denim jeans lol. Well sites like this of course. I also made my own little generic website. My website is
www.angiesopinion.com It's exciting to reach payout on some sites, or have contests with your self to see if you can beat your last payout. i know my husband is happier now that i have a more pro-budget hobby. I use my money I earn on these websites to really work for what i want so my full-time job paychecks are going towards bills and savings.
I also use point earning sites as sort of savings accounts for things like christmas and back to school shopping.
I got my kids an xbox 360 last year for christmas and didn't spend anything but some time on the computer.
