Tips for a Living

 Jaypee's World - Posted: 4/6/2009
With the haunting pressure of the global economic crisis, people has accepted the fact that life should be managed properly. Frugality, of course, has been slashed off the list to improve every family's call for survival. Here are a few tips to consider to see a better perspective of life despite the cunning grin of the dark force:

1. Be a visionary. It is important to try looking at yourself in the future to promote a sense of confidence. However, too much fantasy might cause a great blow of frustration. I suggest that you envision yourself in a state reachable by  your hands.

2. Be optimistic. Positive thinkers have seen the results of seeing everything in light. Therefore, despite of the shadowy valleys you might be walking through, just keep in mind that the sun would sun rise and bring light to your path.

3. Help your neighbor. The idea might be distressing since we are actually tightening our belts to meet the other half. But seriously, helping begets receiving. You will never know when you will see the rope coming to you when you have fallen to the well. And guess what, those who you have helped will come running to pick you off the well.

4. Make a record of your income and expenses. This is one of the best thing to do to control the finances in your hands. You can make a few good calculations of what you have even if you don't have a degree in accountancy. However, consistency in this item matters. You cannot just bump and buy, you have to make a plan as well.]

5. Leave your credit cards at home. The credit card provokes an itchy hand. Never bring your card in groceries, malls and other temptative areas.

6. Love your job, not your pay. I have always thought of moving to another "better" place for a better pay but no. The world is being held hostage to the drama of poverty. I cannot risk moving if I cannot assure myself of the tenure, so do you. Would you risk it? It's far better to excel in our jobs to get a momentary appreciation and a piece of salary increase.

The world is still breathing, so are we. Not because we are on the brink of hunger, we are doomed. There's still hope. And that is, our lives as well. Let us celebrate life with those things in minds. Surely, not even the lack of cash would keep us from being abundant and happy.
