Make your own laundry soap
I will be debt free - Posted: 2/24/2009
Use 1/4 cup per load
1 bar Ivory soap
1/2 cup baking soda wash
1/2 cup Borax Powder (you can find it at Walmart)
Grate the ivory snow into a saucepan. Add 6 cups of water, remove from heat. Add soda and borax until dissolved. Remove from heat.
Pour 4 cups hot water into a bucket (or a container with a lid-I used a mop bucket). After adding hot water, add one gallon and 6 cups of water. Stir. Let the soap sit for 24 hours. It will gel up, which is fine (it should). Use 1/2 cup per load.
I made this over a month ago, and still have a 1/4 of the bucket left, pluse all the ingredients that I used to make the laundry soap. Frugal and Cheap, but you will love it. I don't plan on purchasing any more laundry soap from the grocery store other than the ingredients I need to make this laundry soap. I love it that much!!
