We all like to go out and have fun with our friends but are you being influenced by your friends into spending more than what you intended to when you first start on your outing together? If you are not aware of such things you maybe limiting yourself in your endeavor to potentially really save money as much as you can. If you decide on a budget and you tend to always spend more when you are out with your friends, you might consider only taking with you a set budget and try sticking with it.
It can be hard when you are part of a group of people who themselves don't know how bad their spending habits are. They don't know how to help themselves let alone their friends. If it is possible to get together with your friends, realize the problem that is adding to your financial woes and perhaps if everyone is willing devise ways of helping and reminding each other of the ways to help curb the excessive spending.
Lets admit it we all love our friends and they may even love us but one has to be honest with one's self. After all our friends can not live our lives for us or pay off our debts so one has to be responsible for his or her own living expenses. If that means that you say no a couple of times a week to outings with them, then that is what you should do if you know you will be too tempted to go over your budget or not stick with it at all. Times are tough but we must realize for ourselves that there is hope especially if you can dig deep and really be honest with yourself about your own actions.
For us girls it can be really hard when our friends ask us to go shopping with them. Some of us really can not resist a good bargain either. However even if an item is on special and you are not really in a position to be doing any spending you might consider doing something with your friend. Invite your friend over for a cup of coffee or have a movie night together or simply go somewhere like the beach far from stores and added spending.
Don't feel bad about it because you will feel a lot worse if you don't dig yourself out of your debt and money problems. Sometimes we all need to make adjustments to better suit our lives. We need to own our problems and the actions we take to correct things. If you find that you are getting ahead slightly then treat yourself with them, but only allow yourself a small treat, well at least until you are more secure with your finances.
We sometimes look towards what others are spending on and usually when it comes to friends we usually have similar habits that we have unconsciously adopted from each other. Don't worry what others spend their money, to do that you have to be aware of yourself and realize when you are feeling a bit envious or wanting what your friends have. The more you can become aware the more you will be able to stop your actions and correct your behavior.
Are you limiting your chances at improving your financial distress because you worry too much about what your friends are doing or how well off they are? Well think about how well off you will be too if you smarten up about the way you spend. Yes love your friends but take control of your life and don't allow them to influence your friends if you are suffering from your debt and money woes.
