The Bermuda Triangle: Is it Real or Hoax?

 Cold remedies - Posted: 4/3/2009
Dozens of ships have disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle since the US Navy ship "Cyclops" sank with 300 men in 1918. Aircraft, too have vanished without a trace, including five Avenger bombers from Fort Lauderdale that reported having lost their bearings on a routine flight in 1945, and were never seen again. But in 1978 it was a mystery arrival which baffled the experts who keep watch on the area of sea between Florida, Puerto Rico and Bermuda. document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='/js/gads/gads_text2b.js?v=1.0011' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E")); google_ad_channel = '0147070309,4068880461,7797858385'; document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E")); window.google_render_ad();              Radar crews at the Pinecastle Electronic Warfare Range near Astor, Florida, suddenly found zig-zagging shape on their screens at the time when no military or civilian planes were expected. And it quickly became clear that this was no ordinary plane. The object was moving in a very erratic way,  changing direction at incredible speed, suddenly stopping, then accelerating, within seconds, to 500 mph. Officers scanned the skyline with binoculars, and saw a circular craft emiting curious red, green and white lights. Nobody knew what it could be.

"It maneouvered in such a way and at such speeds that it could not have been an airplane or helicopter", said one technician. "I've never seen anything like it and I don't want to see anything like it again". At 5:30 am on September 27, 1979, two children on the island of Bermuda claimed they were immobilized by strange noises from a UFO. Laquita Dyer, 13 and her brother Melvin, 11, were sleeping in separate rooms when both heard a loud rasping, buzzing sound coming from above their roof. "When I tried to get up, I couldn't move at all, I was paralyzed", said Melvin. His sister said: " I tried to get to the window, but couldn't". After about ten minutes, the noise switched to a softer tone, then stopped. Only when it died away could the children move their limbs again.

The children's ordeal came only hours after many other people reported a UFO streaking across the sky to the south of the island. Jeffry Schutz, a consultant with the US Department of Energy, was one of them. He was with his mother and sister on the patio of his home. "At about 9:45pm we saw an object travelling from the west to east, climbing at an angle of 45 degrees" he said. His sister Betsy, 23 said: " It was a yellowish, whitish ball, faster than a satellite but slower than a shooting star. It was climbing in a clear sky, with a white vapour trail. We watched it for 20 seconds, then it vanished with a greenish glow".

English teacher Nigel Kermode and his wife Julie also saw the UFO from their porch. He said: " It was much too bright and big to be an airplane". She said: "It seemed to lose momentum and then speed up again. Then it just disappeared". local tracking stations had no explanations for the sightings
